DREZNER  Architecture

DREZNER Architecture was founded by Jon Drezner in 1997.

Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Drezner worked and studied with many highly regarded architects and artists, including Frank Gehry, Robert Mangurian, Michael Rotondi, Craig Hodgetts, and Larry Bell.

Mr. Drezner received a Masters in Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 1990. While studying at SCI – ARC, Mr. Drezner accepted an internship with the architect Frank Gehry. After receiving his degree, Mr. Drezner accepted a full-time position with Frank O. Gehry & Associates, where he worked through 1997. Initially, Mr. Drezner worked directly with Mr. Gehry and with the firm’s senior design members, sculpting and developing designs in the form of physical models for nearly every significant project undertaken by the firm. In 1991, Mr. Gehry requested Mr. Drezner become personally involved in the development and oversight of a significant renovation to his own home. In addition, Mr. Drezner worked on several important competitions undertaken by the firm. Ultimately, Mr. Drezner accepted significant responsibilities within the firm, working as the Project Designer and Project Architect on the expansion of the Loyola Law School,  the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts and other projects.

After establishing his own firm in 1997 in Los Angeles, Mr. Drezner received a series of significant private and public commissions throughout North America, including a number of residential projects, several office projects, several retail projects, a series of spas, the Newark Educator’s Community Charter School, as well as TOYOTA SPORTS CENTER home of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Kings, and practice and training facilities for the San Antonio Spurs.

DREZNER Architecture is currently based in Princeton, New Jersey. The firm is now focusing on the design and construction of a series of residential, commercial, institutional and cultural projects, including but not limited to a building housing a series of loft-style residences in Newark, the Teacher’s Village in Newark, the Mountain Lakes/Princeton Township Project in Princeton, an artist’s live, work and exhibition space in Ewing, and a series of residential commissions in Princeton.
